We recommend sunrise for DC Engagement sessions! The National Mall in particular is absolutely stunning for sunrises. It’s really gorgeous at sunset, too, but way more crowded. The calm in the early hours makes for a perfect setting to relax and get some romantic photos!

Please note; the National Park Service requires permits for photo sessions on the National Mall.

Pros: Beautiful scenery, national monuments, beautiful sunrises and sunsets

Cons: Can be very crowded especially in the evenings and on weekends and holidays. Sunrise sessions are recommended. A lot of walking is required.
